The sassy, smart, and stylish attitude of today's tween-age
girls is reflected in Style Studio's new line of four totally
cool create-it-yourself fashion accessory categories, which
were introduced today at the American International Toy Fair
in New York.
Each of the coordinating accessories in the line --
flip-flops, purses, jewelry, and belts -- provides 8- to
14-year-old girls with what they want most: affordable mix 'n'
match fashion that they personalize themselves.
Style Studio supplies the flip-flops, purses, jewelry, and
belts and the beads, buttons, shells, flowers, lacey straps,
charms, and more to create original fashion statements -- the
girls supply the creativity and know-how. In other words, they
make them their own by making them on their own.
"The new Style Studio line features the hottest
fashion trends among tween-age girls and allows them to
creatively express themselves with a do-it- yourself fashion
accessory," says Marcia Greiner, Style Studio senior
designer. "The interchangeability of the accessories
helps girls modify their look to fit their individual style,
helping them to stand out while fitting in."
Style Studio DIY fashion accessories help build girls'
self-esteem by allowing them not only to take pride in their
appearance but in knowing that they created their own unique
fashion statement themselves. Each quick, easy- to-do fashion
accessory kit lets today's tweens be part of the
"in" crowd with their own outstanding look.
Girls can mix and match the fashion accessories, too, with
the specially designed magnetic bead system that allows one
piece to expand or morph into another piece so that an earring
becomes a pendant, a ring becomes an earring or a bracelet
becomes a belt jangler. The magnetic bead system also is used
in the belt and purse lines so that the decorations on a purse
or belt can double as decor or can become a separate
accessory.
Style Studio fashion accessory kits come in several
color-coordinated themes, from "Surf's Up,"
"Flower Power," and "Ocean" to
"Retro," "Southwest," and
"African," with easy-to-apply decorative
embellishments that reflect each motif. Like fashion itself,
the themes, color pallets, and trimmings in each accessory kit
will change to keep pace with fashion runway trends and tween-
age girls' sophisticated sensibilities and spending habits.
Each Style Studio DIY fashion kit comes in its own "SkyRail
pod," a patented, first-of-its-kind see-through
"smart" package that looks cool in the store while
showcasing the product and its many possibilities. Once home,
the pod is designed to be reused for space-saving storage.
Style Studio fashion accessory kits will be available this
spring nationwide at major mass retailers and will sell for a
suggested price of
$9.99
and
$7.99
.

The Indian textile industry has the potential to achieve a
turnover of $100 billion by the year 2010, of which $50
billion will be through exports.
According to a study conducted by the Associated Chambers
of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham), through speedy
implementation of reforms in the infrastructure and power
sectors, India can successfully retain and also increase its
present global market share.
India now has 4 percent of the textile and 3 percent of the
global apparel market.
According to Assocham, reforms should aim at attracting
foreign direct investment, simplified and uniform tax systems,
flexible labour laws, freedom to outsource and liberalised
contract-labour laws.
